Rhea Marmentini

About the Artist

Rhea Marmentini creates works that bridge ancient technique with contemporary imagination through sculpture, bas-relief, ceramics, and painting. Her richly layered compositions explore transformation, mythology, and organic movement while balancing delicacy with physical presence. Through texture, symbolism, and fluid form, Marmentini builds immersive visual worlds that feel both timeless and otherworldly.

Artist Statement

I am constantly searching for forms that may have existed long before us and may continue to hold meaning far into the future. My work is rooted in timeless shapes, ancient materials, and the poetic act of transformation.

Through sculpture, ceramics, and painting, I explore the relationship between raw matter, memory, and essence. I am drawn to forms that feel both ancient and alive, objects that seem to carry traces of geology, mythology, and human experience.

I see myself as a traveler through time. In my work, stone, clay, and surface become vessels for transformation, connection, and reflection. My pieces often live between parallel realities, where the human, the animal, the natural, and the divine begin to overlap.

Using ancient techniques and direct material processes, I aim to reposition the viewer as an essential part of the work. My practice is a meditation on time, presence, nature, and the enduring power of form.
