The Vault Solo is Bank Art Gallery’s dedicated solo exhibition space, located inside the original vault of our historic 1924 bank building.

Created for one artist at a time, the space offers an opportunity to present a focused body of work in an environment unlike any other in the gallery. The architecture of the vault creates an intimate experience where visitors can spend time with one artist’s work, ideas and point of view.

Each Vault Solo is shaped by the selected artist. The exhibition may explore a single series, an evolving body of work or a larger idea brought together specifically for the space.

Artists are selected based on the strength of their work and how their vision can engage with the character of the vault. While each exhibition belongs to the artist, Bank Art Gallery works closely with them to create a presentation that feels thoughtful, cohesive and complete.

The Vault Solo gives both artist and viewer something increasingly rare: the opportunity to slow down, look closely and experience one artist’s world.
