About the Artist
I am a multidisciplinary artist working across photography, mixed media, and installation. A central aspect of my practice is collaboration with my photographic subjects. Across traditional, alternative, and digital processes, I examine how presence, interaction, time, and environment shape the image. I am particularly drawn to large-scale cyanotype photograms, where the human body functions as both subject and instrument, forming images through direct contact with light on watercolor paper. I also work with wood, glass, metal, and paper, developing forms through line, contour, and structure. Carving, cutting, slashing, and welding operate as physical gestures analogous to a painter’s brushstroke. My practice moves fluidly between tactile processes and digital tools, including AI, which I engage as an extension of both process and concept. Born in Colombia and based in The Bronx, my work is shaped by experiences of transition, adaptation, and cultural movement. Through this, I focus on how presence and transformation emerge through material, process, and interaction.
