Thomas Bregman
Exhibition - Expressions in Every Form (2025)
|
About Thomas BregmanMy artwork and adjacent projects span multiple forms, some easily categorized, some not. Among the former are abstract organic geometries on canvas & paper and minimalist sculptures in stone, wood, plaster & other common materials. Less traditionally I make representational & abstract installations, land art & street art in wide open spaces and abandoned buildings. This alternative work makes use of various natural substances and construction materials including spray foam, XPS insulation, dimensional lumber, earth, wind, fire, spray paint, house paint, foam core, fractured rock, river stones, trees, glue, fasteners, sawdust and more. Though quixotic in nature, my projects share a simple set of ideas & sensibilities embodied by a forthright openness, a relaxed coolness, a rigorous sense of order and an egalitarian outlook. In many of my works I purposefully engage the viewer as a participant during & after the process of creation. And in this brief time we share I take great joy in connecting with all comers across a range of personal experiences, ideas, perspectives & art forms. Featured Piece Exhibiting at Bank Art Gallery |
