Exhibition - Expressions in Every Form (2025)

About Morten EnderAs a teacher and assembler, I am driven by the belief that art should not only inspire, but also engage with the world around us. My creative practice centers on the principles of upcycling and sustainability, transforming the discarded and overlooked into pieces that celebrate the beauty in the mundane. Through the art of assemblage, I repurpose everyday castoffs into vibrant expressions of simplicity and cool.
My work is an exploration of materiality, focusing on what others might deem as debris—small, forgotten fragments of the world we interact with. These pieces, though seemingly insignificant, are reimagined into bright, bold representations of restoration and preservation. I find beauty in creating something exceptional and out-of-the-box, via the overlooked, and the seemingly inconsequential. Each work I produce is one-of-a-kind, and crafted with the intention of conveying a sense of clean, purposeful design. There is an extemporaneous nature to my process—one that allows the raw energy of the materials to guide the form and outcome. My intention is to offer the viewer not only a visually engaging experience but a moment to reflect on the environmental impact of consumption and the possibilities of reuse.
