About Janis BorguetaA Lifelong Journey Through the Lens My journey with photography began in my teen years, developing black-and-white film in a high school darkroom. In those early days, my subjects were family and still life, but as the years passed, my passion evolved. First, I captured the fleeting moments of my children’s lives, becoming the designated photographer for school plays. Later, with my children grown, I found the freedom to fully immerse myself in the art of photography—this time, turning my lens toward the natural world. Today, my mission is to capture the untamed beauty of wildlife and the breathtaking landscapes they inhabit. Whether it’s a quiet, intimate moment with an animal in its natural environment or the vast, sweeping grandeur of an untouched wilderness, my goal is to preserve and share these extraordinary scenes. Each photograph is a reflection of my deep appreciation for nature, the patience it demands, and the awe it inspires. I find inspiration both in distant places and in the stunning landscapes close to home. Whether exploring new terrain or rediscovering familiar places, my camera is always in hand, ready to tell the stories of the wild—one image at a time Featured Piece Exhibiting at Bank Art Gallery |
